Hi Celina!

I wouldn't change any of the ingredients....just double them all and use a bigger pan - a 9x13 would work fine. Watch the cooking time carefully though, since you'll have a different thickness with a bigger pan. Keep using a toothpick to check doneness.

Let me know how it turns out!

Great recipe! Thank you. Have you doubled this recipe? A friend wants moxie style brownies for his birthday so I was wondering - To double this, do I cut back on the leavening agents, in your opinion?
Thanks!

Jennifer,

So glad you liked them. :) I'll have to add some ginger next time, and like another reader suggested: sesame oil. I think I'll keep skipping the cilantro though. ;)

Hi Jane!

The last time I made them I had some pitted Parnoosh dates. You could use any that are pitted...the only difference may be in the sweetness levels. Hope that helps!

Thank you, I'm still trying to trace the origins of the name "Fiddle Diddles" for this recipe. If anyone stops by here who called them Fiddle Diddles prior to the Company's Coming book,(back in the 50's or 60's) I'd sure like to hear from them.

I was so happy to find this recipe online! I have the exact same cookbook from the blue Company's coming kids cookbook, which I also received from my grandmothers collection! I have a whole series of the books, however the one containing the Fiddle Diddle recipe is the best one! I moved away and have been without my cookbooks so I was very pleased to find someone with the original recipe!
Thank you :)
