Apple Crisp

I’m a crisp kind of girl. If you offered me a big slab of chocolate cake, or a bowl of warm fruit crisp with ice cream, I would pick the crisp. Hands down, no questions asked, no exceptions. Ever.

Okay, except for when I was pregnant…then I would have just taken both.

Warm apple crisp tastes like heaven in my mouth. I don’t know if it’s the oatmeal, the spices, the fruit, or just all of it? Probably all of it.

I find that because of their tartness, Granny Smith apples make the best crisps and pies, but any kind of apple will still be delicious.

Not only is this a yummy dessert, but it’s a great breakfast too, right? I mean apples, cinnamon, oats. It’s basically like you’re eating a bowl of oatmeal. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.
